THE MODERNISED UNITED STATES FAST BATTLESHIP BB-61 USS IOWA, in her late Cold War guise circa the late 1980's and standing out into the equatorial Pacific at dusk.  Commissioned as a gift for a former commanding officer of BB-61 USS IOWA; the hypothetical formation of non-contemporary consorts comprises the various other ships (and submarine) to which the Captain had a personal connection throughout his 40-year career in the United States Navy.  The 'two-flag signals' hoist IOWA is making reads: "PASS AHEAD, R-E-V-I-E-W"; hence title to the piece.
